Afternoon folks, some of you may remember me from my previous 3 year daily-drive stint in a 2006 Meteorite Vantage, which I sold almost 5 years ago now.

The lure of the Vantage hasn't diminished with time, nor my requirement to ship around youngsters since I sold it - so we have a classic "bait and switch", I sold my last Vantage (with incremental periods in a Z4M, Mini JCW and a tatty old Accord) and eventually settled on a C63 estate, which I am keeping for weekend family duties apparently and have picked up the last 2 weeks this 2007 beauty. I feel very lucky to have 2 V8's for company smile

I'm pretty sure it's previous owner is a PH'er - chap called Nikhil according to the personalised door plate on the passenger side, who had it on the plate "V12 NKA", I say PH'er as it has some of Tony's famous knobs and name plates and has been beautifully cared for. If you're on here, would be good to hear from you.

Spec is:
Onyx Black
Black leather
Silver stitching
HID's
Premium Audio
Cruise
Carbon rear diffuser
DBS gear knob
Screen mirroring for iPhones
Dension DAB radio (no idea how to get this to work yet)
Assuming bluetooth streaming too - but again, can't work out "how!

Early impressions - loving having a car that requires full engagement when driving, it seems a lot noiser than I recall when cold - even with F22 in place. Having been in a C63 for 3 years nearly, the Vantage is very slow in comparison, but that's not what it's for. The gear change is notch free, and the clutch lighter than I remember too. It's lovely to drive and be in.

It's been serviced annually despite the still very low mileage (just about to hit 52k). Onyx wasn't my first colour choice, but the spec, condition and history meant a compromise was required. I'm using it as my daily and plan to do so unless it's snowing - at which point I'll stay at home, because a C63 is going to be no better. It's good to be back.

Very nice indeed, I will also be joining the 2x V8 car club early next year when I get a Vantage to join my BMW 650i

Looking at prices there seems to be virtually no difference between private sales and dealer sales, I will be happy to buy via either route, will buy on condition and history above all else
