V8V Heated screen?..
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I have an 06 V8V and looking at the screen, its has no heating elements to it.
Would this be correct for this year of car or do you think it may have just had a non heated replacement screen incorrectly fitted.
I have a few chips an will be changing it soon, so i want to make sure the correct one goes in.
Cheers,
Regards,

Does the car have a button on the dashboard to switch the front heated windscreen on/off?
The 06 V8V had an option of heated front windscreen - mine had it. But not all did. The presence or absence of the switch is the indicator.
Or, ask an Aston Martin dealer to supply the build sheet. They can find that from the VIN.

Honestly I would not recommend the heated screen.
I have it in my 07 V8V, but if I ever need to replace the windscreen I go without it.
The reason is that the heating wires are visible and thus disturbing the view, especially when you drive against the sun.
Maybe just personal preference.
So before you mount one, make sure you can drive with a car having one and youre fine with it.

My own Vantage does not have the optional heated screen. I think there are a couple of wires in the windscreen glass, presumably a radio aerial.
If my widescreen was covered in ice or snow, a heated screen would not be needed, because I wouldn't be driving a 420 bhp rear wheel drive car on that day.
