Does anything work on the USB in the car ?
Try checking the fuse for the outlet - it could have blown (fuse location should be in manual)
Only tried an iPhone XS and can’t get the music to play although I’m not sure this would work anyway.Try checking the fuse for the outlet - it could have blown (fuse location should be in manual)
I looked for the fuse and the most relevant looking fuse description is Power Outlet Cubby Box (F20). I tested the power outlet in the cubby box (and the trinket box) and both are working. I can’t work out if the USB is on different circuit.
Strange...my 2012 car does not have USB so use a USB charger in the 12v outlet fine
its not something to do with apples security setting for USB maybe ?

In the My15 car I had a phone would charge off the USB cable. In this MY15.5 it won’t. I checked what the article suggests every way and no difference. Thanks anyway.its not something to do with apples security setting for USB maybe ?

As far as I know the USB port will only allow charging, no playback. The phone needs to be connected to the iPod cable connector (with a 30pin to lightning adapter for a later iPhone model) to play music and should also charge. All sounds strange though. If it’s not the fuse, perhaps there is a fault with the USB port itself, possibly a loose connection?

There’s no fuse in between and tested various devices/cables and nothing so looks it’s the port and or the related wiring. 😕Best Regards
