O2 Sensor electrical resistance?
Discussion
A few months ago, I had the cats replaced in the V8V (4.7, 2009) from standard to 200 cell "sports" cats. Everything is fine and they make a wonderful sound, but.... I'm getting occasional fault codes thrown up regarding "emissions", maybe once a day.
I realise I could probably get a remap to change the parameters for flagging a fault code, as in raising the threshold a bit, but is it not just an electrical resistance reading from the sensor which is being read?
Could I add a small extra resistance in line with the sensor to keep it from throwing a fault code? Do I need to lower the resistance?
Just wondering if anyone on here has gone down that route or done some investigations on O2 sensors.
BTW, clearing the code is easy with the "Dash Command" App and the V-Link Dongle but I'd like if it were not required at all.
