Hi, got a roadster and every time I fill up after rain, a lot at the moment, there is water in the recess around the petrol fill pipe where the nozzle goes in under the petrol lease cap.
Is this commonplace or do I have a blocked drain hole and if so where is it please.

Not an Aston Martin but I had a similar problem with my car. In my case it was easily resolved by carefully clearing the blockage with a pipe cleaner.

There is a drain, I did mine on the Roadster with a toothpick as it was full of sludge from parking under a tree on all weathers.

Sometimes, when I pressure wash the car I also open the the petrol filler (with of course a tight cap) and wash in there too, it helps keep the drain hole clear.

Thanks for the feedback, and I only occasionally drive it in the rain.
I think the water gets in every few days when I wash those beautiful curves.

This happens to mine frequently. I keep a small cable tie in the boot for poking around to clear it every now and again. If you poke vertically downwards somewhere near the base of the spring (I think) you'll find the drain and clear it quite easily.
