Afternoon
AM Newcastle have a db7 in stock in a rather lurid purple colour
I quite like it and am going to view
Is it a rare colour and do you think it will be difficult to move on? Not fixated on resale but would like the option to upgrade at some point
Many thanks

MrB.

I only ever sold 1 Thurso Red car in all my years with AML (it was a new one back in 2000, but it had Ivory & Charcoal inside with Carbon veneers) and it does divide opinion. It will be quite a tricky colour to move on, but that said, it is a cheap car to start with.

You pays your money, etc, etc.....

Highland purple. Never seen a 7 Vantage in that colour before, a but a few earlier 7 were painted in this hue.

It's been on sale for ages which probably answers the question.

But the price is good so if you like the colour and plan to keep for a while then go for it.

I saw this car (IIRC) advertised quite a while ago, when the regn. no was visible; a subsequent online MOT check was 'interesting'.

I was up in Newcastle in May and saw it and loved the colour in real life and took a photo.

Here’s the photo I took.

Looks really lovely. A lot of car for the money.
I'd negotiate some warranty.

In the late 1960s/early 70s, Ford produced a top model (excluding Lotus) of their Mark 2 Cortina. It was named 1600E and there was one colour which was unique to that model, called Aubergine.

Perhaps that is the same colour used for this DB7.

I had a 1968 1600GT with the raised dials in silver then bought a bronze 1969 1600E with the dials in the dash which I had resprayed in aubergine, loved it cloud9

Always wanted a Twin Cam but alas not to be frown

Can’t see the point you’re trying to make with the above comments.

Failed on windscreen wiper blades this year , about as interesting as it could possibly be.

I agree, none of the advisories in the last couple of years are at all concerning or expensive to sort.

Love the colour of that Aston !!
This 70 Challenger R/T is painted in Plum Crazy, which was the most popular Challenger colour for 1970.

This 96 Griffith 500 looks stunning in purple. From memory it is either a BMW or Ford colour.

that one has been around a while as others have said - I don't mind the colour - and would take it any day over old man gold which I have seen.

Wonder how many owners it's actually had.

That's the best colour DB7 i've ever seen and far more unique than the usual old green/silver

If i was in the market for a DB7 that's the one i'd buy and even though i'm not in the market for a DB7 I am tempted to buy that purple car myself!
