Grange Hatfield

I liked them a lot, very friendly and had a loan car, all that, and I think would be great for the new cars.
However, I had my 09 Vantage serviced there and they didn't seem to understand it as well, for example they said my clutch was close to needing replacement when it was an almost brand new AMR clutch which was fitted by another AM dealer so should have been on the system? I can understand the pedal felt different from stock but it isn't exactly an unusual mod.
They had previously fitted new lower wishbones under warranty (which they dealt with well) but the alignment left the steering wheel SLIGHTLY to the left. Just a teeny bit annoying and not the standard which one would hope. And it didn't fix the occasional steering clonk when pressing on.

I asked AM Bristol about this when mine was in for service and they told me that they do not have access to an overall system, so cannot see what the previous dealerships have done. They did go on to say they could always phone them if there was any query though.I went down late last year to have a look at a Vantage S that they had in and took it out for a drive. They seemed genuine people, the dealership was was on two levels but was a bit of a shed - I think that had plans to move to a new place that they were having built, if they haven't moved already.
In the end I bought a car through Grange Birmingham. Grange are happy to pull a car from another dealer in their group and move it if you leave a (refundable) deposit, so you can view and try at your closest branch.

They have indeed moved to their new premises. Which as I hinted to above is really worth a mooch about.
As it happens both of mine have come from grange (one sourced from Welwyn via Brentwood) the other directly from Hatfield a few weeks ago. On both occasions I have waited (ish) for the right car to turn up and been very happy with the experience.
As an aside they also throw decent event so I suggest getting yourself an invite to the next one If you are unsure on their credentials, I think Darren Turner is a regular at these and there is one sometime mid Nov.
I must admit to alternating with works for servicing. However the new facility is impressive so likely to head there next time.

I brought my V8VS from Grange Welwyn and had a bit of a mixed experience tbh when I picked it up.
Car wasn't cleaned properly and believe it or not I found previous owners daughters sandwich box under seat (!), no handbook as the original has somehow been destroyed and lots of niggles that it had to go back for. Serviced and they said all the brakes and discs need replacing which they didn't so not over the moon about their servicing department either but there you go - perhaps I just had a bad experience.
