I've been reading that Brough Superior and Aston are going to release a limited run motorcycle at the Milan show next week.

Does anyone know anything further at this stage ?

No, but sounds interesting. I like what Brough have done with their bike.

It sure does, although seeing as a “standard” Brough is £60k, Christ knows what a limited run Aston joint build will cost, or how hard it would be to get one.

Just looked at the website- the SS100 is one ugly mother fker

No doubt AM will stick a badge on, add nothing else to it and add at least £20k to the price.

At least I hope they have no other involvement in it - it's not as if AM hasn't got enough on its plate at the moment. I get AM want to be a 'lifestyle / luxury good' company not just a car manufacturer but right at this moment in time everyone should be 100% focussed on getting the new cars to the market not wasting time with a motorcyle manufacturer that sell in even smaller numbers than an AM special edition

From what I read it appears to be a pet project of Mareks. There's no doubt that Broughs are the Rolls Royce of motorcycles, hand built with time and cost not really being a driving factor. I thought Norton was a bit like that, but they're mass produced in comparison to Broughs.

Anyway, will be interesting to see what comes out next week.

This was announced on the Facebook forum about a week ago. God knows how much it will be. Can’t quite see the point (and I ride).

Spectacularly ugly and pointless.
Are they really leather bar grips and saddle?

I was hoping they may have gone for something a little more retro, not something straight from Tron.

A hundred grand for a bike that doesn't even look particularly usable...........errrrrr, it's a no from me.

I don't have the money to buy one, but I would like one. I'd want it road legal though...

I think it looks good. Nice lines.

Hm, load carrying V-engine, double wishbone front suspension, aero design - where have I seen that before?

Aah, yes...this one

Britten! I remember watching them at the IOM TT in the early 1990s. Brilliant engineering.

Another example of Aston slapping their name on very expensive things. International Space Station next?

Hope they sell some DBXes.

I hope so too - (even if I dislike these things...)

Yes Britten - a real lovely story about a motorcycle, way ahead of its time, built in a shed by a stubborn ingenious Kiwi with a vision...
But of course there were others of similar spirit - Vincent springs to mind...

A friend of mine here used to build the engines for the Britten bike ;-)
