Can anyone confirm when they have the headlight switch set to automatic that the dipped beam comes on when first inserting the key into the ignition even when the daylight should be sufficient for dipped beam to not be in use.

Dipped beam seems to be more on than off at the moment, windscreen sensors are all clean.

Sorry unable to help. Old-school driver here.

I turn on my Aston Martin lights and wipers when appropriate, park the car and even change gear and apply the hand brake myself. To me, it is all part of driving enjoyment.

Perhaps I should not mention the auto headlight enthusiasts, who drive through fog without headlights.

Don't have them on my old DB9. My LR is all over the place this time of year with H/L on/off all the time when using AUTO.

These auto everything gadgets are ok until you take a turn under a bridge and some prat pulls out in front of you and claims you flashed him on.
