I wonder if someone is running wider front tires only, i.e.

Front 245/40 R19 with Rear 275/35 R19, or
Front 255/35 R19 with Rear 275/35 R19, or
Front 255/40 R19 with Rear 285/35 R19, or any other combination with wider fronts (less than 40mm difference rear-front).

I need a new set of summer tires next year and think about getting a little more grip on the front.

Experience, anyone?

From memory the V12 cars run 255/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rears

That's what I had on my just sold V8V

Car was fabulous to drive

Not exctly what I was looking for...

I look for experience with front tires LESS than 40mm wider than the rears.

Front 245/40 R19 with Rear 275/35 R19, --> Front tires 30mm wider than the rears
Front 255/35 R19 with Rear 275/35 R19, --> Front tires 20mm wider than the rears

As it is the difference in width, which (among others) defines the front/rear balance.

Are you worried about rubbing or wrong speedo? If the former is your concern don't worry.

I had my rear wheel put in the front by mistake which had an oversized 305 30 19 and it only rubbed on full lock

No, my only interest is to hear about the handling balance.
