Hello all, can anyone confirm if the rear DB9 seats support ISOFIX fixing? Failing that, doe`s anyone successfully use a forward facing child seat in the rear anchored with the seat belt?

Cheers

Hi.

No to both questions. The rear seats are very small, both my kids go in them without any child seats, my youngest was 5 when we started doing this, no idea if thats illegal officer.

Agree, it’s no both questions.. I have tried! Easiest option was to buy another car for family duties!

It is possible...…. but with no isofix…. and a petite and willing front passenger.
Front seat needs to be fully forward and also tilted to an upright position. Not recommended for long journeys though.
The seat was a Britax Romer/Eclipse

No ISO fix but I also have been able to fit full sized child seats in. After going through all of Mothercares choice of seats (they were brilliant trying them all for me), Halfords basics range is small enough fit the rear seats. Depending on the age of your children they have different offerings.

My children, wife and I recently completed a 3300mile trip round Europe in the DB9 and we were all comfortable. 3year old, 6 year old and the wifes age I better not mention....

Thanks for all your inputs, certainly food for thought,it seems like with most +2 cars only a select few child seats can be squeezed into the rear wink

What age are you looking at, if it's just a high-back booster (age 4 and up) it's easier to find a seat than for a toddler seat which requires a 5-point harness. I'm trying to find a solution to the same problem, but it's even harder for me as I have a volante, which has roof mechanism encroaching at the shoulder line.

You need a seat with a narrow base to fit into the bucket, the best I found was the Maxi-Cost Rodi AirProtect:
https://www.maxi-cosi.co.uk/car-seats/rodi-airprot...

It fits in the seat alright, but it's too wide at the shoulder line. I'm 95% sure it would fit in a coupe though.
In a previous thread someone pointed me to a volvo product that is very narrow:

Thanks for the links murphyaj i`ll take a look, both potential rear seat passengers are almost 2 & 1/2.
