Vantage V12 brake disc on V8
Discussion
I'd like to check whether a Vantage V12 brake kit fits on a Vantage V8 (S and non-S).
I found this thread confirming the Vantage V12 and V8 have the same pitch circumference diameter:
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Is there anything else I need to check? Or do the V8V and V12V share all brake component dimensions?
Wheel size will be 19 inch

Is that the carbon ceramic or steel brake discs? Also what year is your V8?
The pre ‘S’ will definitely need the knuckles replacing and probably larger wheels (and spacers for the rear at least).
Perhaps someone has more experience? I’m currently looking at changing the brakes on my 4.7 V8

I'm aware of one N430 which had V12V CCM brakes fitted but you have to change everything: discs, calipers, pads and potentially wheels if they are older ones which won't accommodate the larger discs/calipers. Having said that, with the cost of these components and the price of V12 Vantages at the moment it's probably cheaper to just buy a V12V instead
Got to ask the question, but would would you want to put £10k+ worth of brakes on a V8 ?
Only those with the deepest pockets want to track cars with CCM's, and in all honesty I wouldn't say they are "that" much better than the steels for general road driving (unless you're mental).
As Pete has said, if you wanted them that much, then why not chop in the V8 for a V12. In some respects, you'd probably make the V8 harder to sell down the road, as people buying at that price point won't really be keen on the cost of the brakes.
Of course you might have a totally different purpose in mind, which would be good to know.

Not CCM, just a normal alloy from Brembo. The ones I like are listed under the V12, but not the V8.
Apparently the V8 standard wheels couldn't accommodate a caliper as larger as the V12 wheels?

To install the V12 brakes on the V8 Vantage use the parts of the V12 Vantage :
- the discs,
- front calipers with their spacers, heat shield and bolts,
- rear calipers with their spacers, heat shield and bolts,
- parking calipers,
- master cylinder.
