SO ASTON ANNOUNCE THEY ARE GOING TO LAUNCH A MID ENGINED FERRARI COMPETITOR AND FERRARI LAUNCH THIS (GTC ROMA I THINK)
IT IS GOING TO GET COMPETITIVE DEPENDING ON PRICE
Your CAPS LOCK ist kaputt.IT IS GOING TO GET COMPETITIVE DEPENDING ON PRICE
But no, Ferrari is king when it comes to engines.
In general Aston Martin hasn't really been on the same level as Ferarri for decades.
I wonder what engine Aston will use, a Mercedes derived one no doubt. The 4.0 V8 AMG with some different components and tune.
But the market for these cars is big these days and Aston needs to strenghten and widen it's portfolio to stay relevant and cost effective.
On the other hand and unfortunately Ferrari seems to follow in McLaren footsteps by presenting multiple special editions every year.

Well, has this Ferrari been launched, but without stating any prices?
Is that how Ferrari operate?
A pretty design, but is it supposed to compete directly with the Vantage?
A very Aston Martin colour for their launch. They might be up to something.

Money no object a Ferrari because as mentioned above the Ferrari has a Ferrari engine. At this price range I wouldn’t want a German production engine in a high end British sports car.
Way back when, TVR managed to pool enough cash for there own engine. Aston have no excuse not to do the same. Just my opinion

Wait until you see Aston Martin's new engine, customer deliveries planned to begin within six months. It is a proper engine, V12 naturally aspirated 1,160 bhp, revs to 11,000rpm. That is the road going version. The planned Le Mans race version, will have to be detuned to meet regulations. Have you ever heard of that happening before ?
Your profile page show a very ingenious way of being able to drive all of your cars at the same time. Wonder if that will catch on?

Aston Martin have commissioned Cosworth to create the Aston Martin V12 engine.
It has no connection with Astons existing long running V12, which began life in the DB7.
If you are interested, there is a good video explaining the engine and its development.

The whole project is expected to result in the first landmark car, since the McLaren F1 in 1982.

I think Jaguar will be doing something similar soon as there lovely 5.0 supercharged motors are finishing production next year. I don’t think a bmw powered Jaguar will do them any favours
