Even if £500 means nothing to us, I don't like being treated as a mug.

We see very similar looking exhaust tips on many everyday cars now.
Therefore they must be obtainable at a far more sensible price.

Someone somewhere is taking a colossal amount of yellowy waste bodily fluid trying to charge that for them...although a quick skim of the usual suspects does suggest it's the going rate wobble

While I'm not suggesting for one minute this is a comparable product, but if this can be made for less than 5% of the cost there has to be a cheaper alternative that is available, I can't see a bespoke engineering/exhaust manufacturer charging that much, there's a significant amount of 'Aston TAX' on that. eek

£2300 is daft.

It might be worth having a ring round of some MD's and seeing if they have any used ones, you never know what these parts departments have knocking about.

With regards to powder coating them, would that be OK with the heat that gets generated ? The OEM ones are more of a ceramic type coating. I have no idea when it comes to such things, but it might be worth checking that out first.

not had any issue with mine burning off yet for the last year. they aren't in direct contact with the exhaust so shouldnt get anywhere near as hot as a normal end pipe.

^^^^^^

Job done then, that's got to be the most cost efficient route.

Total cost was about Ive blacked out exhaust tips before using exhaust spay paint, super easy and lasts. Total cost was about $20. This was on a Z4 MCoupe though but exhausts are exhausts..

Camcoat would be a good idea too.

I happen to have a set of carbon trims for a DB11 - brand new GENUINE if anyone is interested. I'll be throwing them on eBay soon. Identical to the photo below. Can upload actual photo's if anyone would like.
