Hi, while washing the car at the weekend I noticed one of the vertical uprights that hold the grille slats in place has broken. Not wanting to spend crica £470 on a complete new grille assembly I'm wondering if anyone might have some spare parts.

It's for a 6 bar grille on the V8 Vantage, I think it's the upright second from the right.

cheers
James

OK so when I've looked cloaser, maybe they're nearer £800 with VAT for the 6 bar, yikeseither way I'm still not paying that. So was hoping someone might have upgraded to a v12 or AMR grille and had some parts going.
If not I'll have a go at fabriacating a replacement.

Yeah that's more like it...

Indeed, potentially someone might have some spares, or a whole grille they'd sell. I have my original 8 slat but that's not much help and I'm in Germany! Good luck smile

Try dropping the front undertray - you might find the missing part there if you're lucky.

I lost of mine and found a chap on here who was casting replacements out of plastic. Think he charged me about £40 - expensive for a bit of plastic but remember it was a one off and saved me buying a full grill so worth every penny in my book. Colour match was slightly out but old and new where not quite black so sprayed all the parts and once re-fitted to the stainless bars I added a drop of silicon sealant behind to avoid loosing another. Do a search on my posts and you will find him.

I just checked again, it’s actually the one immediately to the right of the centre so NS, but I suspect they are identical side to side.

Update on this thread I attempted a repair to the broken upright but it didn't last long.

So I'm still in search of some replacement uprights. As previously mentioned it's a 6 bar/slat Vantage grille and the uprights required re the ones immediately to the right and left of the central upright.

I might also be willing to purchse a full grille assembly if the price is right.

Let me know what you have, PM me if necessary.

Cheers
James

I would've thought 3D printers would be helping us with things like this by now...

One of my old Aston’s I managed to purchase a individual slat on eBay, the dealer won’t supply them individually (I wonder why), just keep checking and you might get lucky .

I'm sure someone on here who had the same problem ended up.making some of the vertical slats, it was a year or so ago, have you tried a thread search?
