Two pin coil date of manufacture
Discussion
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a date of manufacture on ignition coils, the reason I ask is the previous owner had them changed. I have a doubt they have been. I have removed the inlet plenums to upgrade them. So if they haven’t been done this would be the time to do it. The car is on 85k. There is no Aston history.

Yes all good, i give my 9 a good "run" now and again buti dont drive mine hard hard.
Its done about 2000 miles since coils, only thing id do differently would be to replace pcv pipework containing the rubber duck bill valves, i managed to blow down the pipes from either end and the valves worked , not very technical i know , the 2 ford pcv s seemed fine but i replaced them anway, will see how much oil is in airboxes in march at next service, also smear a bit of oil in the fuel rail cups , i used new seals and the rail was very difficult to push down onto the injectors, , i know this will be blasphemy but i think the inlet manifold gaskets would of been re useable due to there rubber seals been in good condition, check NGK partfinder for the plugs for your car thats something you dont want to get wrong, but no all good and at 17 quid a coil from euro makes it worth doing
