Every time I try and do a search on the forum for something specific, it gives me results from the whole of the PH website.

Mightily annoying !

Is it possible to limit a search to just the AML section ?

Cheers

Jonny

It has never been very good.

A Google search, obviously including 'pistonheads forum Aston Martin', works reasonably well.
I have sometimes had unexpected and interesting results, which go back to the earliest days of Pistonheads.

mobile or PC/Laptop/Tablet (etc)?

If phone - no idea, if laptop etc then use the filters on the left hand side and click on AML only.

iPad - doesn’t seem to have any filter options.

Your post has made me try the Search.
Was not expecting much, but it now seems to produce plenty of results.
Found some posts made well before the V8 Vantage (Gen 1), production began.

February 2004.
Dealer not accepting any more deposits. How times change !
You have to order through a dealership and in that area you are either with JCT600 in Leeds or Paramount Derby. Launch time for the car is circa end of 2005 but I doubt whether or not you would get a car in 2006 now. Every dealer is different but my local one is not accepting deposits (factory line) and reckons to have over 350 names against the car. Projected price is said to be nearer 80k.

May 2004.
Rich did order a V8V, but during the long wait changed his mind and bought and still drives, a beautiful DB2. Now possibly worth ten times a 2007 V8V.
Personally I hope to place an order for delivery around summer of 2006. I would expect an attrition rate when the letters of intent have to turn into hard orders of around 50%. p.s. Do I have to place an order with my most local dealer? Iwould prewfer to buy from the same guys I bouight my TVR from in Chichester... Rich...

June 2004.
Hey all, first post here so just thought I would share my experiences of prospective AMV8 ordering. Just rung my local AM dealer (a Yorkshire based one, you can guess who) who informed me that deposits for this car will be collected by letter of intent date. Apperently its due for release "back end of 2005" and there is another 2 year wait after that (Which means I get an AMV8 back end 2007, if my letter goes in today), assuming all those preceding letters of intent actually place a deposit/buy a car. He could not say how many letters would turn into orders, so that timescale is, at the moment, worst case scenario. Assume 50% drop out of the letters list then back end of 2006 is more promising. Either way, my letter goes in today, but wish it had gone in when the first pics surfaced last year! Didnt have the money then!

Fascinating stuff.
