After being quoted £18 & P&P for the dreaded o ring I got in contact with a company called Estern Seals. https://www.easternseals.co.uk/
Very helpful and posted me a 17mm x 3mm seal for the princely sum of £4.50. The actual seal was £1.50, but given they called me twice and raised an invoice it’s hardly daylight robbery.
The seal is Viton and I fitted it last night. It went in with just enough resistance to feel like a snug fit without having to force it.
