2007 Vantage V8 Facelift - No power/ electrics

Hi all

New to the forum, please help!

I had my car parked and unused for a couple of weeks. Then I had no power to the car at al. I couldn't even unlock and get into the car.

I had to jack the car up and try and get power to the starter motor to open the car. This did not work but managed to do it off the alternator.

Now in the car tried and started the car with jump cables, took the car out to charge the battery and thought this would do the trick. This didn't work either so went on to change the battery. So new battery and still cant get the car to start on its own also no power when the key is inserted.

I then did a bit of digging online and began to look at the battery reconnect switch now as the car is a 2007 it does not have the reconnect switch behind the driver seat and manual says that when you insert the key this should reconnect the battery.

Someone also mentioned that the alarm could be the fault and to lock the car, leave for a minute and unlock which should reset the immobiliser, also didn't work.

I have run out of ideas now. If I connect jump leads to the battery to give power I can get the car on and electric but without external power the car has no power, no light on dash with key in, central locking, interior light etc all no power. The battery is new and fully charged.


Can anyone help please?!
