New DBS Superleggera

I have recently picked up a Xenon Grey DBS Superleggera - having come from a 911 - so far so good - a very different car but absolutely love it !

A couple of questions for those in the know;

- is there such a thing as "running in" these days ? clearly there is for tyres and brakes - but engines ?

- is it worth getting Apple CarPlay fitted - is the stock media that bad ?

- i have heard a rumor that they are launching a full Ti AMR exhaust system - anyone know anything about this ?

Can't say that i particularly ran mine in, am just short of 2000 miles now and except for being a little shy on the accelerator when i first got it (for fairly obvious reasons) i ran it fairly high up the rev counter and didnt really give it much of a second thought. Brakes, they are more something to get used to as they can be quite responsive irrespective of mileage.... never had trouble with the tyres at speed as it really does push down into the road but can be a bit skittish if not warm at lower speed.

I can't speak as to apple play, though have thought of doing it but found it as it stands to be ok (markedly better than older systems) or the exhaust but there is usually something that comes available at some point (can't say i have any particular desire in this respect at present)....

I think i will "live" with the car for a few months before making any decision on the CarPlay.

Agreed on the exhaust - not for everyone - again i think i will wait and find a demo that has it fitted to see the difference ... i am sure it wont be cheap regardless !

So far, so good re tyres - that change to 3rd can have an impact but if you know it is coming, very manageable
