Anybody have a pair of these that I could buy off them? (It's for a DB9). Would also *potentially* be interested in any aftermarket backboxes anyone might have knocking around

Fast Road Conversions in Kent do a set of De-Cats for about £300 a pair - They did my V12V and couldnt be happier with them

Just get them new?

A ‘decat’ Is a pipe without a catalytic converter.

Measure your exhaust and go to eBay - buy a meter or two stainless tube of the correct diameter for around £10-12.

Cut out the cat, replace with the tube.

Half an hour and ten quid beats paying someone £300 to do the same and post it to you!!

Had this been General Gassing and someone decatting their hatchback I'm sure someone would have chimed in saying you are a chav, only knobs decat cars, think of the environmental, think of the children and hope you get arrested.

Since it's an Aston I only expect plenty more replies telling the OP what a fine chap he is, how the excess noise is wonderful and fk what comes out the back because China is making a bigger messlaugh

Although your assumption is 100% correct, this is only due the difference in timbre between an 8 cylinder NA and a 4 cyllinder turbo.

Some of us are lucky enough to own cars that pre-date the cat laws (J or K reg?) and can pollute as much as we want with no fear of persecution, all the while undergoing severe aural intoxication for the wonderful bellowing coming out the back.

How does an MOT target of 4.5%co and 3500ppm hydrocarbons sound? all the compression and all the cam overlap and all the fuel and all the advance - stinks to high heaven but it passes emissions every year with a significant margin. who would want a new car?
