Just taken the Vantage plunge and bought this - mostly for my wife, but she may let me drive it.

Anyone got a spare AM indoor garage cover at a sensible (I.e. non AM!) price, or can recommend a good one?

A very elegant motor. Well done, Sir! Love the side sill covers. Which model year is it?

Understandably your wife loves a V8 Vantage - like all V8 owners amongst us do. Time will tell, if she also likes driving it.

As for an indoor cover at non-AM prices I can strongly recommend:

"Perfect Stretch", size "L", EUR 69.00

Regarding a car cover, i recommend getting one from -

https://www.specialisedcovers.com/

Look at the Prestige range.

They are the same company which manufacture the covers for Aston Martin but buy from them you get the same quality cover half the price.

I have one for my DB9 and its fantastic.

What a beauty! I would be well pleased with that

Is that AM Nottingham?

thanks all.

Yes, AM Nottingham - good people to deal with, and very friendly, and competitive on price if you're persistent.....

2013 car.

Fabulous car. Hope you enjoy it. My first AM was a Vantage V8 manual. Whilst my wife loved the car she hated driving it! Lucky me smile

update: driving back last Sun evening and funny noise - metallic clanging like fan hitting shroud - but when you get a feeling that's worse than that......

Long story short: roadside assistance is very good, so is recovery, so was dealer and AM as car has to have new engine as major bottom end failure. Decided to get money back and find another, as who knows what else may go.....

So by bye silver Aston. Now for another, but Covid-19 may drop prices a chunk so may wait a bit. Or may not.....

Regarding prices dropping, Corona coincides with massive interest rate drop........ not currently worth saving you cash!

Interest rate drop where? Dropping the base rate achieves very little as we all know. The interest rate on the current AM DB11 'campaign' if you can call it that, is 7.9%, which is actually comical.

Base rate drops saving accounts, reduces mortgage rates so I turn releases more money into the economy. Well that’s the theory.

As for AML Finance, they are taking the piss.

except people can't go out and spend it at the moment - the economy will be in dire straits..... :-(

Just wait until we get into negative interest rate territory. It will get interesting then...
