So my 2 previous Astons, V8VM and DBS were both named Thor not only after the God of Thunder but also my 2 youngest boys THomas and OscaR. Seemed an obvious choice for me especially after Bamford Rose had worked some magic on them both (that's the cars and not the boys!). Having left the fold for a few years to scratch a Fezza itch, I've now returned. Picked up Thor III from AM Bristol yesterday, followed by a 5 plus hour drive back to the North East. Apart from the traffic I enjoyed every second. What a fabulous car and special thanks to Mako V12V who's nurtured it for 9 years previously. I did contemplate a name change to Odin but the fabulous noise with the secondary cats removed makes Thor seem more appropriate. Here's hoping for some nice weather and a good summer to get some miles in!

Lovely car! I also completed the AM Bristol to North East pilgrimage recently with a v12v about 6 months ago. Roll on the fine weather.

Keep an eye open for the NE run out threads , you’d be more than welcome to join us fellow AM owners for a blast out.

Congrats - lovely looking car and well cared for - that’s at least two mako vantages in the NE now...

Yes roofs been wrapped black. The side strakes, front grill, headlight washers and sills have also had carbon fibre wraps by last owner. Surprised the wing mirrors weren't done too! TBH I quite like the look and I can always remove it if I change my mind.

Thanks - quite like the contrast of the roof.

I’m unclear why the side strakes are chrome on mine, so may consider a c/f finish

Wrap is no doubt cheaper than fitting AM c/f replacement side strakes.

May I ask, you bought from Bristol but live in the north east.

As I have yet to buy an Aston but I have only ever bought cars from within a few miles of where I live, all Fords!, I often wonder if I bought an Aston from a garage a long way from home, what happens if there is an issue, it’s not easy to pop back with the car.

Or is that just not an issue with AM . I will only buy from an AM dealer.

Thanks

Kev
