All beginning to look the same
Discussion
A health warning first: I am a novice when it comes to recognising all the variants of a manufacturer's portfolio. But, after years of being able to differentiate between an Aston Martin and a Ferrari (not least because the Ferraris are red), the Ferrari Roma sales pitch popped into my inbox this week and it looks to me as if they have seen the light and are taking the Vantage as their cue for their next generation.

Except Ferrari manage a lower scuttle line which means it’s easier to see out and place the car, and you have a chance to see the wings/bonnet.
One of the major annoyances (for me, IMHO etc) in this century AMs is how high the scuttle is and how the center console forces the gear stick too far back. Presume it’s something to do with the VH architecture and/or height of engine?

Ferrari invited me to the Roma presentation here in Milan, and I must say, in real life, I did not felt this AM vibe in the design, which is apparent in pictures.
Everything was definitely Ferrari, especially the interiors.
Side note, I was the only one who showed up in an Aston Martin and I got my fair share of looks in the parking lot.

Not sure that I see too many design similarities myself. For me, the Roma has much softer lines and more sweeping curves than the Aston. In contrast, I think the Aston looks much more aggressive in its styling, and has more presence about it. The Roma may be prettier, but I'd take the Aston all day long.
