Was working at a cell site at Silverstone today and Spotted near the Aston Martin experience centre....
Full carbon bodywork, LHD, wires and gadgets hanging about inside and with Prototype stickers on... looked pretty special! Like a full carbon DBS Zagato. Anyone got any idea what it may be a mule for? Guessing its still got aV12 under the bonnet but maybe hybrid assistance??

AFAIK Prototype vehicles with hybrid/EV powertrains have to be marked as such, so in the event of a failure/accident emergency crews and members of the public are aware the vehicle is potentially electrically live.

eg.

I didnt see any markers saying it was hybrid but if you do a reg check the emissions come out as 0g/km 🤔

Yes, but unfortunately it is not that easy anymore.
DVLA vehicle checks used to reveal handy information on unannounced development cars. However, there must have been agreements made with the car manufacturers, because hardly any details are revealed now.

It could be a V12 twin turbo, but the 0g/km just means, 'we are not telling you how many grams'.

I'd guess because you don't register emissions figures for a prototype vehicle, its not like it will have been through any kind of type approval yet.

A hybrid wouldn't be 0g/km anyway.

Based on industry experience and the launch timings of that car I’m sure that will be a standard run of the mill Zagato. Remember it is still a prototype vehicle right up until the first customer car is delivered; and remember that “press launch” these days is just sending a press release pack round with some renders or photos, normally to signify when order books open (funny that) and sometimes up to 12 or even more months before first customers get cars.
