At Sevenoaks, the first car shown on their pre-owned listing is a Toyota estate.
Photographed in the prime position, beside the showroom entrance door!

They show a Mercedes C-class, pictured inside the showroom and four Lamborghinis are advertised. They presumably came from their local sister dealership, which has closed.

I got this email from AM Brentwood

I would like to reassure you that our dealership teams will be diligently following the Public Health England guidance (updated daily) to ensure we can continue to offer a full sales and after-sales service whilst protecting both you, and our staff members, from the COVID-19 outbreak.

To enable this, we will be adapting our normal operations in the following ways;

Bring to You - Home Test Drive Programme

We have had multiple requests from our guests to test-drive vehicles at their own residential address. 'Bring to You - Home Test Drive Programme' is simple;
Browse online, discuss your requirements with our teams on the phone, by e-mail, chat or social media; whichever you prefer....
The vehicle you are interested will be sanitised prior to leaving our premises and driven to a location of your choice by one of our team
If your happy with the car then simply complete the purchase online and we will deliver to your home at no cost....return to us for a ‘full hand-over’ at a later date if you prefer?
Find out more

‘Contactless’ Service and Repair
By prior appointment, one of our team will collect your vehicle....from home or business it’s up to you.
We will keep in touch by phone, e-mail, or social media to suit you....
A complimentary ‘Safety Check’ on your vehicle will be carried out with a personal video presented by one of our factory trained technicians will be emailed to you.
Once finished, we will drop your vehicle back, full sanitised and safe for your immediate use, and all at no cost.
Then simply pay us by phone or online....
Find out more

Your patience will be appreciated as our resources may be under unique pressures.

The whole team at Grange Aston Martin Brentwood are determined to continue delivering the levels of service our valued guests rely upon despite the challenges COVID-19 presents all of us.

Please keep your family and loved ones safe during these unprecedented times and do not hesitate to contact us if we can help in any way.

Best wishes

Tim Duckers

Harwoods newsletter about the present situation:

https://willcreateemails.co.uk/12PE-6SNWV-22F9EH07...

Harwoods said:
Dear Customer,

As a valued customer of the Harwoods Group, we wanted to let you know that we are continuing to do everything that we can to keep our daily operations running as normal, ensuring our customers remain mobile.

Currently, we are operating business as usual across all of our aftersales facilities. With information changing daily, which can affect both our customers and team members, we would like to keep you updated of our aftersales business continuity.

We have made extensive preparations across our business to manage our resilience, enabling us to deliver our renowned high quality services to customers through this period of uncertainty.

You will be pleased to know we continue to welcome you to our showrooms, and have implemented several additional preventative measures to help ensure the wellbeing of everyone.

For your information and reassurance, we would like to inform you of the following:

During a visit

First of all, as you would expect, we have adopted a no handshake policy. Please do not be offended. You may also notice extra staff diligently cleaning areas of the showroom.

Additionally:

• Customers will be offered use of disposable pens to sign any required paperwork.

• Protection kits will be used during your vehicle’s tenure, which includes steering wheel, seat and floor protection.

• Our staff have been encouraged to utilise latex protective gloves to reduce any risk. We encourage customers to use these FOC, but this is of course down to personal preference.

• We will continue full use of our well-equipped showrooms, including free customer WIFI, where you can relax in our customer waiting areas.

Staying home?

To help cope with individual situations, we will also be offering an increased level of collection and delivery services. For those of you who do not wish to, or are unable to, leave your home to visit us, we can make special arrangements for key handling during the collection and customer return periods.

Have we thought of everything?

We are always open to any suggestions you may have to further improve your car buying and service experience at this time, which could also help fellow customers. Please contact us. Thank you.

We want to help where we can

If you have any special requirements which you think we may be able to help with during this

uncertain period, please highlight these to our teams by telephone or by utilising our online chat facility where we will accommodate you the best that we can (inside and out of typical working hours). Click the button below to be taken to the Harwoods homepage and click the speech bubble on the right hand side to connect with our team.

Online chat

Finally, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience while we adapt to the new situation we all find ourselves in. As a family business ourselves, your loyalty to Harwoods is truly appreciated. You can be assured we will continue to endeavour to provide all your motoring requirements in the usual Harwoods way.

Take care of yourselves, family and friends.

10 days ago there was one new Lambo and a few trade ins. The former Lambo/Bentley place down the road is being turned into a Ferrari service and satellite for main dealership over the river.

Saddest part was 6 new V8 DB11's all sitting in a row outside - all looking a bit wet. Blue DB11 Volante inside looked good and the AMR Vantage manual in white with lots of carbon bits looked excellent.

That was a surprise for me Reg.

I had noticed some work going on, but with the present construction of (think) flats next door, I had expected Jardines to cash in with residential use for that site.

Expect you know, that there once was a Ferrari dealership in Sevenoaks, Maranello Sales. It opened in 2004, but eventually closed. Sainsbury Bat and Ball premises.

I’ve been watching the work with interest and wondered what was going on there. I guess i’ll have to wait a bit longer until they open now as the rest of town is now closed for business.

Wonder if they’ll still be able to offer service facilities? For those with essential travel requirements who’s only DD is an AM!

Doubt there are enough of those to justify any sort of opening... I have one of mine booked in for some end of warranty work next week that is now going to be delayed, so I’m hoping that AM do the decent thing.
