Apologies if this has been asked and answered; I’ve been a bit preoccupied over the last three weeks with various things.

I know that the Government has postponed MOTs for 6m. Servicing seems to be patchy. As quick random selection suggests AM Nottingham is shut, AM Cambridge is open to key workers only, and HWM is open.

Is that broadly right? Has anyone been successful in booking a service, and if so where?

And if your car needs work outside a service schedule which you’d normally be looking at getting done under an extended warranty, but you can’t get it to a garage before the extended warranty expires, does anyone know the response of AM’s extended warranty dept?

First world problems. I know.

I suggest speak to the warranty issuer and take their advice. If not critical and you dont need your car to get to work common sense says it should wait.

My DB9 is having an extended winter break in my garage until this is all over.

A follow up question, will delaying an annual service invalidate the AM Warranty? Probably not but it would be good to know.

Timeless warranty states that a service must be within 28 days either side of last service, i have the same problem as my service was last carried out on the 14th April so have until mid-May to get completed.

Timeless Warranty have issued statement to say servicing can be delayed and serviced at earliest opportunity after lockdown.

Also, any word on getting a car in under warranty to have couple niggles sorted? Mines out at end of June and can't see how I may get it sorted before then.

Yeah, I've got an approved warranty repair that was booked in, but not been able to get the work done before cambridge shut.

I spoke to Cambridge today and they said that AM would look to honour if I can't get car in before warranty expires, even if I don't extend. I hope they do!

+1! Or a scan? Our post is quite slow at the moment (for completely understandable reasons).

You see what ? Who is going to give you the best answer to your question. A bunch of folks guessing, or the people who issue the warranty.

Or perhaps just ask on Twitter, loads of experts there.

One of mine was due in for end of warranty check / service / mot at the end of March. Dealer told me that anything that needs doing will still get done because it was all planned prior to lockdown. Of all the things I worry about, car warranty isn’t one right now. If manufacturer knows there’s due and the vehicle isn’t being driven at present due to covid I can’t imagine they’d want to fall out with owners and not do the work.
