A true gentleman that possessed both tremendous skill and immeasurable passion for motor racing that throughout his long life never diminished. His contribution to the history of British motor racing especially during the 1950's and early 60's is indeed legendary,,,, thank you Sir Stirling, thank you.

We won't see his like again.
A great ambassador from an era when the desire to win was accompanied by true sportsmanship.
RIP Sir Stirling.

Very sad to hear Sir Moss passed away. I was lucky enough to meet him twice, once on the Tour Auto and last time on a Nice to London flight in May 2016. RIP Sir Moss!

A giant of motor racing, a true sportsman and gentleman.

Wonderful how spectators could watch the drivers, race F1 and sports cars on the same day.

Fair play was so important. 1958 - Stirling Moss was World Champion runner up to Mike Hawthorn by just 1 point. During that season, Stirling Moss had selflessly defended Mike Hawthorn in a stewards enquiry, which enabled Mike Hawthorn to retain 6 World Championship points, for a second place behind Stirling.
Moss won 4 F1 races that season. Hawthorn 1 race.
