Morning all,

Possibly a slightly boring one but also something that’s good to benchmark against others.

Just had quote for my 2006 DB9 Volante (garaged in the countryside, I’m 38, 3k miles/yr) and it’s come out at £630 fully comp for the next year with a very reputable company.

Does this sound about right? I’d be keen to hear roughly what others are paying if they don’t mind sharing?

Thanks!

Give ClassicLine (www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk) a shout.

Obviously insurance premiums vary considerably for risk factors, but you might find a lower premium than that.

I have always been keen to ensure my policies allow me to choose a repairer.

Aviva were competitive for many years, but at last renewal I moved to NFU Mutual.
Need to contact directly, because I don't think those two show on comparison websites.
Not much over £400 for me.

I was with Classic line last year ,
Was happy with them 4.7 v8 2010 ,I rang up for a quote ,I must have got the wrong person on the wrong day, to be told they didnt have there new figures yet for the coming year?
Then when they phoned me back they just picked a number out the air it was so far from last years it was ridiculous with the take it or leave it,

Dont think i will be using them again

Just had my renewal policy for my 2013 coupe db9, garaged in home counties , 3,000 miles a year with multi policy with elephant. Co which comes in at £310, up £5.00 from last year!

Confussed. Com did suggest other insurers but cheapest was £380!

The area you live in and age are important factors. I pay £280 with Admiral on a 2005 DB9 6,000 miles pa.

Insurance is dependant on alot of things, I'm 46 and my 2004 DB9 is £250 fully comp for the year from Admiral.

Thanks for the replies - mine is higher as I had a claim about 18 months ago on a previous car but I am pleased to hear of premiums as low as £250 fully-comp for a DB9 - I reckon that’s very cheap all things considered.

£734 from Locktons for 5k miles. Sounds expensive but doesn't include any NCB so I keep that on my daily driver. I also had a minor claim last year on the other car and the Vantage insurance covers track use

Mind you I might bookmark this for comparative quotes next year from some of the premiums you guys are mentioning.

Comparative quotes are only any good if they’re apples with apples. At one end of the spectrum Admiral’s policy I understand requires you to declare manufacturer options for them to be covered, and at the other you get policies that give driving other cars on a fully comp basis...

Try Alan & Thomas brokers.

My V12V parked on my drive - they came in cheaper than admiral but with Zurich private clients and a much more comprehensive policy.
