James, fantastic to have received such a lovely letter and what a great reply from you.
I had a delivery from a courier today and he said is that your Aston in the garage? The look on my face clearly said “how do you know that” and he said the garage door is open. I had washed some microfibre clothes and clearly done something wrong when closing the garage door. Still we had a nice little chat about Astons, the frustration of the lockdown and the noise it made

Fantastic!
My mum told me there was a little boy in her street comes by with his dad and always taking an interest in what was last seen outside when I have been visiting (not for some time in current circumstances sadly). Last time I had the Aston we wandered down to see if he wanted to have a closer look but sadly they were out. I will try again when possible.

Aah, the old Romainian 'Bait and take' scam.
Very well done though

Having read the letter properly, I now do wonder.
Rather odd that I could not see even one spelling misstake, in the entire letter. Punctuation very thorough too.
Articulate with the various questions.
Are 4 year old children far better educated than in my day. I don't know. Perhaps it is the popularity of nursery schools now, in place of mothers at home looking, after their own children.
I know a two year old, who can quickly give the answers to the square root of 16, 25 and 36. There is a trick though, because he does not know anything about square roots, but can remember the answers. He can tell you Pi as well, to 3 places of decimals!
He is not Romainian.

What a delightful story! I don't have anything like as exciting as an AM Vantage and I've never received fan mail. But my little Gulf orange Boxster gets so much attention from children and their parents! Last year while driving through France, a 10-year-old boy cycled into a lamp post because he was too busy looking at my car. I've sometimes come back to the car to see people photographing it or themselves next to it. People photograph me while I'm driving it, especially in London. The waiter of my favourite curry house wanted to sit in it and have his photo taken. I've found pictures of it on Instagram, and it's even been featured on the cover of a book about Porsches. Little kids shout out "Dad, look at that Ferrari!". I haven't the heart to tell them that it's not a Ferrari. And on occasion parents have asked me if I'd be willing to take their son round the block in it. But the best one was a little girl who came for a ride and thought it was the best thing ever. Sometimes the attention gets a little tiring and I think about getting a silver car, but other times the joy it brings people makes me swell with pride and I can't help but smile.
