Top steering wheel stitching
Discussion
Ok, so the lockdown is really starting to affect my OCDness.
I’m sure I’m about to take a slating for this, but does anyone else get the ‘ itch ‘ to have the two vertical rows of stitching at the top of their steering wheel (at top dead centre) colour matched with the rest of the cabin stitching? To my mind it almost seems like an oversight that this wasn’t done as standard. To have them colour matched would seem like a nice subtle addition. My (V12V) wheel is Alcantara and those two rows of black/dark grey stitching are always there in your line of sight to mildly irritate!
Apologies in advance if this topic triggers other owners who were previously oblivious......

I also have the Alcantara steering wheel (with black stitching), when it eventually needs to be re-trimmed I was planning to send it to this trimmer.
I believe some people on this forum have used them (I have no connection with them).
I would spec black Alcantara with red stitching and red stitching at top dead centre

I'm 100% with you on this and I'm glad I'm not the only nut that cannot stand the un-matching stitching on the steering wheel...I’m sure I’m about to take a slating for this, but does anyone else get the ‘ itch ‘ to have the two vertical rows of stitching at the top of their steering wheel (at top dead centre) colour matched with the rest of the cabin stitching? My DBS has a bitter chocolate interior with yellow stitching and I've always thought that a matching stitching on the steering wheel would have looked much better than the standard black/grey.
Worse still, I fitted a Q-part airbag cover in chocolate with the gold ring so the black stitching now is really out of place.
I've even thought of carefully masking the steering wheel along the stitching and, with a very thin brush, soak one by one the stitching in yellow paint like Humbrol... but I don't think I will have the nerve to do it, really

what colour would you want? I have one with two rows that was factory trimmed with red stitching, as I am thinking of having my other spare done to match my amr stitching so might let the red one go.
So glad it’s not just me! Yes, red stitching on alcantara is what I’d like, so I’d definitely be interested Gingernuts. Just let me know.Apologies to anyone previously oblivious but not irritated.
