Must admit I rarely visit AT in the lockdown as the stock is virtually static.

But now restrictions in the UK may slowly be lifting... too soon to consider a track day toy? biggrin

Never tracked a car myself, so I’m just an interested observer, but doesn’t this GT4 which has just appeared seem good value? Dread to think what it would cost to convert a road car to that spec properly...

What a rubbish advert for that car, i know its a "race" car but it would have been so much better to see pictures of the engine, suspension, brakes and more interior after all thats what you need to see when buying one of these, you need to know if its a quality build and if things are still straight. Just to see pictures of a car going round a track is pretty crap, in my opinion

Youd be surprised how little it takes to convert a road car to a similar spec in a much more usable package. Ive already built my car to gt4 spec and have another two cars lined up to do the same too. Theres a lot of kit in that thats unessecary and can cut the costs by not including in the package. The beauty of the old cars is they werent that far away from the road car.

Feel free to contact me if you want more info

I dont think its good value unless you want to go racing with it, or you can afford a £95k trackday toy.

Must admit I'm surprised, but I have zero real knowledge of the process. As it's a bonded chassis, were there equivalent tasks to "seam welding" which takes place of steel shells normally?

No shells are pretty much stock with a cage bolted to the chassis with a backing plate up the aluminium outriggers. I have the same design cage in mine but only half as per AMR Pro.

... don't forget that GT4 cars have very low levels of mods (apart from a cage and mandatory safety reqmnts) and are virtually road cars. The serious stuff comes in GT2 category cars.

Please feel free to give me/us some extra info.

I was thinking its easily £30k plus for conversion (just thinking engine, wheels, tyres, brakes, interior etc)

Lee feel free to give me a PM or a call to discuss.

There are parts I remanufacture to gt4+ specification and others that are more tailored road cars used on track. So far there is limited amount of aftermarket parts that are up to the job of proper track or dynamic road use, so the solution was to engineer and produce these parts in house.
