iPhone integration into V8V - lightning connection
Discussion
I have the standard 30 pin lead for the cubby hole connector, that allows an iPod/iPhone to be connected, however , I want to connect a more modern iPhone with lightning connector AND charge at the same time.
I see Astonmartin bits do a standard 30 pin connector with a new connection port which allows charging, but I can’t see one for the lightning connector.
What do people do on their cars ?

Get a standard lighting USB cable to go to the phone from an cigarette lighter adapter in the centre console use this for power.
Then use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bovee-Wireless-Bluetooth-...
Connect the above to the car via the cable you have, then connect the phone to this via bluetooth.

Don’t you just need to use a Apple 30 pin to lightning lead? That should attach to the standard cable fitted in the cubby and allow you to attach a newer iPhone. It should also allow charging. It does look like Apple might have stopped supplying original ones now though, as I can’t find it on their website.
Might be able to find one on Amazon or elsewhere, but I think some people have experienced problems using non original ones.
The Bovee in the link above will attach to the standard 30 pin and will allow streaming (you must have at least one track purchased from iTunes on your iPhone though)
If you want streaming and charging, maybe get a Bovee and also get a USB to lightning lead (plugged in to the USB port in the cubby) as I think that should allow the phone to charge too.

Disclaimer- I'm not one hundred percent sure about this, however.
If you are wanting to play music off the phone. You need the flexi apple adapter with the built in DACs as the iphone no longer has built in DACs to output analogue sound via the lightning. (This was my experience in another non aston car with a 30 pin connector insitu.) In the Aston, I have put an old ipod in the cubby and just use my phone for Nav/calls.

You may well be right as my phone is a couple of years old. Not sure whether the latest iPhones will work with the lead as I suggested, but it works fine with my iPhone 8 Plus. Guess a bit of trial and error for the OP is probably the order of the day. If you are wanting to play music off the phone.
