Anyone had any experience with these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192937707062?ul_noapp=t...
I was idly browsing ebay recently and came across them. Apparently they're 1.6mm thick tube.
Ideally the Bamford Rose ones would be on my shopping list, but I can see how the conversation would go with SWMBO trying to justify them.

Imagine the conversation with SWMBO after putting these on when then forking out more dosh to rectify the fuel injection, EGR, misfires and flatspots?
A list of previous owners who can give testimonials to you directly is a good first step.
I looked at a range of options, from DIY fit of bargain fabricated tubular to other suppliers but in the end I couldn't afford to get it wrong, so yes I did bite the bullet and get Mike at BR to do the full exhaust job including airbox mod, all that. Do I regret the extra cost? Absolutely not. Seamless, faultless and fantastic, which is what you wanted! You pays your money...
Just my 2p's worth.

Yes, I suspect that isn't too actually measure easy pre-purchase, given the auto-translate page. But very true.
I looked for obviously mismatched pipes, some are comical and just comparing the two manifold sometimes shows different lengths. I mean, really? Also the general flowing of the pipes and the connectors particularly where they join up, many have the four pipes stuffed into the collector with the collector box on the outside then welded/braised up. Easy to fabricate. Others keep the maximum flow and have a smoother transition. Might be nonsense (possibly is from a gas flow point of view) but it seemed to, as the advert says, separate the wheat from the chaff.
There are plenty on offer, take a look and compare them at least visually to start with. What I do know is that it's much more than just swapping the manifolds and driving off into the sunset...

Plenty of useful information in this video by Mike at BR on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjFt6_wVzhs
The headline price on those ebay manifolds clearly doesn't include cats (another £1300 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Header-Sport-Catalytic-... ), labour & remap so not comparable to an all-in price.
Also, personally, I would not put a manifold on my car which does not have a heat shield where the OEM manifold does. Risks failure of adjacent components (starter motor) or worse.
Very very happy with my full BR system - performance, sound, responsiveness - especially when combined with clutch/flywheel.

So which one do you have installed, manifolds & 200 cats (1st pic) or manifolds & 200 cats with mufflers (2nd pic)? The headline price on those ebay manifolds clearly doesn't include cats (another £1300 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Header-Sport-Catalytic-... ), labour & remap so not comparable to an all-in price.

I would be ineressted on the sound of the second option.

I think that video and VernierMike have convinced me - just have to save a few pennies !The headline price on those ebay manifolds clearly doesn't include cats (another £1300 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Header-Sport-Catalytic-... ), labour & remap so not comparable to an all-in price.
