Firstly as a new member please accept my apology if this is in the wrong place !

My DBS Volante has run pretty much faultlessly for 18 months.
Occasionally when starting, depressing the ignition key foot on brake etc, I can hear what sounds like the starter solenoid and then nothing.
On the first occasion, following leaving the doors open to remove the passenger seat to fix the lose earth wire to the chassis, I assumed it was a flat battery.
Jump started the car and everything was fine.
The problem became less than intermittent so I replaced the battery.
The car runs perfectly once started and no warning lights or messages.
My problem is the fault persists and now I need to jump the car almost every time (carrying a spare battery in the boot atm) however once jump started she fires up perfectly first time.
My very basic theory is there seems to be a very significant current drain occurring on starting.
Question is has anyone else experienced this and if so is it the Starter motor or Solenoid or is there another mystical Aston issue ??
Thanks in advance.

Hi, do you use a ctek battery conditioner?? Astons normally need one plugged in all the time.

If you have a big battery drain then it could be the tracker, they can go faulty and massively drain the battery.

Look at this video -https://youtu.be/btUcB0onVnY

I've had mine disconnected to avoid any further issues.

Plus these cars are very battery sensitive so never let the battery go flat.

Probably your Tracker causing the problem even if it's not being used. Bamford Rose (thanks again!) fixed mine yesterday, also on a "09 DBS. Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btUcB0onVnY

Thanks - off to Bamford Rose for expert solution.
Irrespective, removing Tracker from equation looks sensible.

Similar symptoms to having a bad ground from the torque tube to the body. The slight additional ohmic loss causes poor cranking. Worth loosening it from the body and cleaning, retightening.
