I’ve been thinking of rejoining the AM ranks in a Vanquish, ideally an S.

This one is a stunning spec, 1 owner, low miles etc.

I watched the YouTube video and realise it was posted in May 2019!

So why has a car like that not sold in over a year?

It hasn't sold because it was always overpriced one step behind the MD cars. It's a beauty though i must admit.

Sorry to be dumb, but “one step behind the MD cars”?

Do you mean it’s been priced much higher than similar main dealer cars?

What price did it start at?

Yes, it was more than the main dealer cars whereas now it seems far more reasonably priced , i,m sure it was near £140k at one time.

Thanks CB

Am I right to think that it would have been a £280k car new?

I’ve trawled the web for a list price and options sheet but to no avail.

If I recall, list price of £230k-ish new.

I live near Roman’s and have seen this car sit with them for months- originally priced at £165k I think.

It was certainly over priced initially, and the market has shifted since then. This car has gradually been reduced in 5 & 10k increments down to current price. Clearly a loss maker for them - so it’ll be interesting what their appetite is to take an even lower offer.

Roman’s are a great bunch and very honest. The car is a good one- great colour and spec- and in immaculate condition. I think it’s a good buy for someone. And a S is, IMHO, the best Vanquish to get.

There... have I persuaded you yet??? biggrin

It looks a really lovely example and an offer of £125k a good buy. I note though a lot of these hang around and unless they are priced exactly right.

£45.00/mile in depreciation alone is something I could not swallow! Thats some serious cost of ownership.
