Custom shaped steering wheels from Poland?
Discussion
There's a company in the UK that do the same called Control Custom Steering Wheels.
I've never used them personally but I know a few people on the Jag groups I'm part of who have used Control Customer Steering Wheels to completely reshape steering wheels from round to flat bottomed, etc. and have had them retrimmed in full leather, part leather and Alcantara or just Alcantara and rate them very highly. The finished pictures look stunning too.

They've got pictures of their work on their website and Facebook.

I contacted Control Customs and their prices are very reasonable. The only problem is the 6 to 8 week turnaround time. Fine if I had a spare steering wheel, or it was November, but I think now's not the time to lose my Volante for 2 months.
Could you give us a ballpark figure of very reasonable? My idea of a reasonable price and some others idea of a reasonable price are rather different.

Looks good...
But...
How does this function in a crash? Airbag charge detonates, does the carbon fibre stay stable? If your head impacts do you get bits of carbon fibre embedded in your forehead?
Only one way to find out ....But...

But seriously, the airbag detonates towards the driver and is bigger than the steering wheel so sits between you and the wheel. The airbag is not modified in any way.
You could even say the same about the plastic flap in the middle, what happens if is seperates and is launched into you face?
It is after all only plastic and over a period of 15 years in my cars case the plastic has been thermal cycled through summer and winter and no longer has the same elastic properties as it would when new.
best advice is try not to test it

Just a quick point for anyone considering the Carbon Fibre and leather option.
My daily driver (Macan S) has a carbon fibre and leather wheel, but it is heated.
Just as well because the carbon fibre is very cold on a morning which seems to make it more slippy until it heats up.
Although not as cold as the aluminium hand brake lever on my V8 Roadster, which never heats up.
First world problems...............I know
