Hi All
I was hoping someone could enlighten me. I have a 2010 db9 with 10 spoke wheels that are light silver.. a standard colour and was wondering if anyone can tell me the colour code and colour as I have a couple of stone chips and I would like to buy Dr Color chip repair kit however I cant find the code required.
I have searched the forum and there are plenty of sires with info re paint for cars but not wheels I am in Australia hence the downunder photo.a.

I am pretty sure the wheel paints don't have colour codes. That's why whenever I have a set of wheels refurbished, I always do either the 2 on the one side of the car or all four so they match, and I have probably had 50 sets done.

Most refurbishers will not guarantee a match if you only refurbish one wheel either.

Many thanks for your replies.
I am sure there must be a colour code somewhere as it is a common standard painted alloy in a light silver. Maybe I will contact aston bits and see if they have an idea as they sell heaps of touch up bottles.
I have about 5 stone chips and they are on 3 wheels and I don't want to paint all the wheels yet as they are perfect except for the small chips.

DB9 10 spoke wheels in silver.

Does no one have any idea what the colour is. I know this topic isn't sexy however someone must have either touched up a wheel or stone chip somewhere.

Sorry I cannot help, other than saying they aren’t diamond cut. Can you not ask a dealer? Supply them with the VIN any they maybe able to print out the speak list.

Thanks Milky 400 the local dealer is seeing if he can find out. Not diamond cut wheels just silver painted.

Get down to your local decent painter - many of them now have a gizmo which reads the paint composition from an existing paint chip or wheel/panel. It then matches the composition to a manufacturer code, from which you can get a rattle can made up.

I recently needed some paint, for temporary use on part of a silver car.

Reached for my tin of Hammerite silver paint.
I was astonished by the remarkable colour match.

Hi Johnny, I thought of doing that however I cant fit the car on his counter wink The local dealer has a query in to Aston Martin UK and a job number for follow up it will be interesting to see if they assist.
Thanks for your input. I will do as you say however if I can get the correct colour code, Dr Colorchip can make me a pot and they have a special formula for finishing with a small cloth that is excellent and stone chips disappear completely.

Well no luck, the service manager contacted AM UK had a case number and they finally got back to him with a "sorry can't help you" a bit odd as many of the cars have the same colour silver painted wheels as standard and Aston cant tell us or wont tell us.

Its a bit of a pain as an exact match would be better than a colour spectrometer. match. If anyone has matched them perfectly parhaps you can post on here for all of us to take note.

Does anyone have an email address for the company that supplies the wheels? Not the diamod cut just the 10 spoke painted.
