On the designers topic, there is a reference to a proposed mid-engine Aston Martin.

The story is that Dr. Ulrich Bez became CEO of Aston Martin and within days of his arrival, he cancelled the development of a proposed smaller model Aston Martin. It is said that he did not approve of Aston Martins having a mid-engine.

I have found a video about that car, which presumably would have become the Vantage. After seeing what the car was expected to look like, I don't think I would have even been attracted to buy an Aston Martin. What are your own thoughts?

Looking back now, knowing that the Vantage became Aston Martin's best ever selling model, Dr. Bez's decision was possibly a masterstroke.
