Hi guys,

Might be jumping ship from a Lambo Gallardo to a brand new Vantage v8 manuel.

Thoughts on the cars?

Worth a change?

The Manuel editions are Astons best..right up there with the Balboni Gallardos.. They come in black and white, and you can get Que(?) brand options to make it more individual.
These new Vantages are quite reliable, rarely being Fawlty....

I've never driven a manual Vantage, I went straight into the auto, which was also my first paddle shift.

The Porsche I traded was manual, that was a real nice drive and my Griff is obviously manual and is very un-forgiving.

So the Aston is a completely new experience and I love it. The only down side I've come across so far is that the low speed stop start is very snatchy makes getting it in and out of the garage a bit tricky, but I'll get used to it.

if I may make a suggestion to the OP - take a look at the 6-speed V12 Vantage. These are currently cracking value and the last of analogue. A naturally aspirated V12 with a manual box.

Cheers

Chris.

To irdan87,

Wise words indeed, almost equivalent to insider information.

Last December new Vantages were available for £1000 deposit and £1000 monthly to have use of the car for 2 years.
Previously, those who had bought a new Vantage with a reasonable selection of options, lost enough money in 18 months, to pay outright for the car woodspedia is now suggesting.

V12 Vantage. "It is fantastic. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful".
