Just wondering which variant people prefer of the Rapide.
Personally I like the look of the later Rapide (2012) as I think it is more subtle and I don’t particularly like the large grill or duck tail of the S (late 2014 onwards) but I would like the 8sp gearbox and obviously the more modern bits.
So which do you like and why?

It's a difficult decision in that they both look good but the S front grill is a bit extreme and less elegant. The mechanicals of the S are an upgrade but of course there is nothing wrong the standard Rapide spec. The S value is likely to remain higher due to rarity so after an initial higher outlay no problem there.
There is no right or wrong and I could think on it for hours and then still make the decision Ive come to (but could easily go the other way)
Id get the S.

As you know I have a late 2012 Rapide. However I think I have said this previously but I would prefer the latest Rapide S with the newer style ski slope and 8sp over a Rapide. They were well out of budget at the time so for me I would go last of the line main dealer non S vs an earlier higher mile 6sp S with same interior etc, since I prefer the earlier classic nose.
Thinking out loud is the Rapide S the first modern mainstream Aston with the large grill treatment?
What is the budget, I love looking for Rapide(s)!
