2007 Vantage. My passenger door will not lock. Using the remote I can hear the solenoid make a noise, the drivers door and boot lock, but not passenger door. It will also not lock with the key or button inside the car. When I open the unlocked passenger door the drivers door and boot unlock, but I cannot then lock these until I have opened the drivers door. I hope this all makes sense. Any one had this problem and know the cure?.

Thank you for any help.

Happened to mine 9 years ago and I've read about it before so not an uncommon fault.

I had something similar (door sometimes would not lock / unlock when using the remote) in the passenger side and had to replace the entire lock mechanism recently.

Obviously now i have the same issue on the driver's side...https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/12.gif

Item is covered in extended warranty if you have it, otherwise it's around EUR 400 at the Dealer (in Greece)

Hope that helps

This is a fairly common fault (I had both locks fail early in my ownership). The door can sometimes be made to lock by closing it firmly first, without slamming it.
Look up the part number at Scuderia Car Parts and Google it directly - I got a lock from somewhere in Germany that way.
DO NOT attempt to fit the lock yourself; there is very little space inside the doors, it's difficult to see what holds what, the window glass can easily be broken (expensive) and the window has to be realigned precisely so it drops accurately whenever the door opens. Let an AM dealer take the risk.
You should be able to pick up the lock for around £100 - has Redpants still got one for sale? Fitting the lock should take about an hour and a half - at whatever your friendly AM dealer charges per hour.

Yes, Redpants has a left hand door latch on garage sale at $160. Even after freight from Florida that's a snip.

My 2007 occasionally doesn't lock. Open/close the door and it always works second time. Not an issue worth bothering with, for me.
