My wife and I are taking the DB9 Volante for an 8 day tour of Scotland soon. I'm looking for real world experience of packing outdoor gear like walking boots, coats, waterproofs, binoculars, some fishing kit (4 piece rod) together with normal clothes, shoes, toiletries into these cars. I'm imagining using the boot and both rear seats.

I went with my misses for 18 days all through the Alps to Lake Como with a small tent, sleeping bags, an inflatable mattress and all our other travel needs and managed it fine.
I made a bulkhead that installed behind the front seats and went the full width of the car in 3 ply, then had it trimmed in matching leather. I then removed the rear seat bases to get a little extra. If you have a wind break, then fitting that prevents the removal of the bulkhead which can be held in position with the windbreak from above and between the front and rear seats. This means the car has to have the door open to swing the bulkhead forward, so within reason, you can leave the roof down and the rear is still secure.
We then purchased a large black sheet of felt to cover what was in the rear to keep it dark and away from prying eyes. We just put the soft furnishings in the back seats and everything else in the boot, with a small 12V cooler in the passenger footwell, (probably not needed in Scotland!.)

This sounds way too impressive to not at least provide us with a few photos!

Ok, I honestly spent at least an hour going through every folder, in every phone, laptop and PC I own and could not for the life of me find the series of pics I took whilst doing it, but therefore the best I can do is get out there and take some dismantled and assembled pics for y'all.

Will get it done this week.
