I will try again.
We did a wine run/drive with a Porsche group over the last 2 days in what is known as The Granite Belt. There were 13 Porsches of various variations and me in my Aston DB9.
I must say that over the 400kl plus driving my car performed very well did not bottom out like some of the others and was very comfortable. I also noted that when travelling quickly and coming to an overtaking lane with a turbo s in front I had no problem keeping up and in fact he started to hold me up. That v 12 does a great job when you drop a gear or 2 and press the throttle, which wasn't even to the floor.
What a great Grand Tourer which also wasn't too shabby on the twisty bits.
It was amusing hurtling down b roads and passing some of our group with my wife asleep in the seat next to me. I am sure that wasn't possible in any of the Porsches.
Here is a photo of Australias only pyramid, unfortunately I don't know how to rotate once uploaded.

Don’t want to burst your bubble but sorry, the turbo S wasn’t even beginning to try. I had a DB9 and now have a slightly breathed on DBS which is considerably faster. My 992 C2S will leave my DBS standing, a turbo S will have my C2S.
Trust me, he wasn’t trying.

What ⬆️ said, I’ve had a turbo and it would keep with most things without using much more than 3000 revs through the gears. After 3000 my wife used to wake up 😄.Don’t want to burst your bubble but sorry, the turbo S wasn’t even beginning to try. Sounds like a great trip - what wine did you get ? You can’t leave out the important details !
We bought some lovely buttery Ballandean Chardonnay and a 30 year old Ballandean Port. we also consumed a number of others from elsewhere ir Ridgemill and from the University Restaurant. There is a lot to see and taste in this region. The only thing letting it down is the focus towards the weekend as many restaurants were'nt open uuntil the Friday evening.

Maybe it was perception of speed in the Porsche as from the amount of soot coming out of its exhaust it wasnt just tootling along at 3000 rpm, he was flat to the floor. We did this dance a few times.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
