DBS Superleggera Drivetrain Issue
Discussion
Hello,
I'm starting this thread primarily to document my recent issues with DBS Superleggera (AE31 engine). I bought it brand-new a year ago, now with 16k km on the clock.
Roughly two thousand kilometers ago (at 14k km), the car has started showing CEL but only in a specific situation - highway, steady 80 km/h (in a construction zone), GT mode, full-auto, low throttle/RPM. Sometimes (rarely), after 10-15 kilometers there could be a CEL flashing for a few seconds, then disappearing and not coming back. But one day, the CEL stayed lit. From that day, the car has started to have a sluggish acceleration, but only sometimes.
The CEL was triggered by the following fault code:
P2237 - Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1, bank 1, positive current control - open circuit
Most of the time, the car runs fine, but when there is a reduction in power, the following code is always present:
P0172 - System too rich, bank 1
The car has been diagnosed by the dealer and will go for detailed coils/sparks/O2S analysis and possible replacement. Will keep you posted.
