I spoke to Mike on Friday so yes, they are open. Are you trying the 0808 1231 007 phone number off the website?

I will admit I also got no response to an earlier email or to filling in a website enquiry form.

I was there last week and they're very much open and busy with a full workshop. I even saw Mike answer the phone but only after it rang again after ringing out the first time ........

Completely off-topic but I neither want nor have either and I find it objectionable that I should be expected to install a social media tool simply to communicate with a company with which I want to do business. ranting

Apologies and back to your thread on Bamford Rose

It's the one thing the BR Supporters Club overlooks - their customer service is rubbish.
Last year I wanted some work done and despite numerous phone messages and emails nobody got back to me.
I went to David Appleby Engineering and James got back to me the same day - I know where I be going again next time.

This has been a complaint for years. They are busy, so will ignore you. Says something about their general attitude.
Customers are such a nuisance.

Telephone contact efficiency is so important for business image.

The recent popularity of Press 1 to be annoyed; Press 2 to be kept on the line, so we can make money from your phone call; Press 3 for some awful muzac,
just puts people off wanting to ever make contact again. There are examples of automated answering being done well, but that is very rare.

I much prefer email now. No time wasting for me and it can produce a written copy, should that be required as proof later.

BR have spent considerable time boosting their Company YouTube image, so it is surprising all that effort is spoilt, if people find making contact so difficult.

I imagine the issue is that BR are known to be reluctant to post out their kit for another garage to fit. There have been exceptions, I know, but given that Classic Vanquish is complex to work on I'd have thought that is the issue here.

Regarding being busy, when I was there last week Mike said that for exhaust upgrades they are booked up to nearly the end of the year mostly due to how many they can fabricate.

They are sometimes hard to get hold of but to be fair it is not the customers that are a nuisance. I've never felt like I'm a nuisance in the many hours I've spent there. People spending hours on the phone to Mike getting information so that they don't have to spend any money at his business, however, could be seen as a nuisance and one of the reasons the phone isn't always answered.

Was there myself a few weeks ago and the place was busy, with plenty of activity. Mike provided a service I was unable to get elsewhere and saved me a packet. However I would agree it took many attempts via phone to arrange. Mike does answer when able, but have not had a reply to email inquiries for some time.

Sometimes during videos, the door buzzer is heard.
Do you think the visitor then has to wait until filming is complete? wink

Probably, particularly as there's not a lot else to do there except surf the social media platforms and admire the rural idyll... it is frustrating, I have emailed a friendly enquiry and got nothing, which is a shame as I have been/am an actual cash-paying customer. But clearly a victim of their/his own success. Better just keep ringing, as I too will not load a social media platform to shout 'me, me!'

Ask Mike for his mobile number next time you are there.

But when you call a main dealer you get a young lady who answers the phone, greets you and makes a coffee. Then you get the bill to pay for her salary and the coffee.

You pay your money, you take your choice.

Personally I've found Bamford Rose to be very helpful, friendly and extremely enthusiastic about their work. And they have saved me thousands of pounds, which I've written about before but won't repeat here.

Judging by your username...

G'day!

Are you the ex-Trivett chap who opened a garage on the upper north shore?
