Have just taken off the front bumper from my 2007 DB9 to find the metal brackets at each end, which are riveted to the outer shell, are rotting away! Don’t believe these are available separately so am looking for a scrap bumper that may have brackets still in place.

Are the brackets removable from the bumper? Should be possible to get those repaired and powder coated if so.

The brackets could be removed by drilling out rivets but they are crumbling with some parts missing all together, I’m afraid!

Was really trying to find a completely scrap one rather than pay a premium for one that could be used again!
Thanks for the thought though.

This happened with my bumper too.
Although mine cracked at the bottom where the support wasn't there any more.
I ended up buying a replacement bumper

Fortunately the shell of my bumper is OK, so will probably end up making replacements myself, possibly out of aluminium sheet.

Shouldn’t be too difficult - cardboard template and then get someone with a CAD cutter to cut a pair out and then form to shape.

£50 should do it !

No consolation I know, but the similar end stiffeners on my V8 vantage are moulded plastc

Yes, I know really frustrating but obviously they learnt a lesson when designing the V8 Vantage. I have one left over from my days of V8V ownership and the reinforcements are like new!
