The medical car is normally only seen very briefly on TV, as it approaches the rear of the starting grid.
The best coverage is of course when the safety car is leading the field.
Hopefully Aston Martin will be able to participate in the safety car role.

I wonder if they'll wind the power of the Vantage up a little bit, the current AMG GT-R has 585hp vs the Vantage's 500hp. Not sure if the chassis etc makes up for it, but given the constant complaints from drivers this season that the SC is 'dangerously slow' it wouldn't be good for the Aston to be any slower than the current Merc!

There's been some woeful safety cars over the years, and a few stunners, the infamous Vectra that could have played a part in Senna's crash, there was even a Renault Clio one year, and a Diablo another.
Surely the Valkyrie or even a Vulcan has to be a better spectacle than the Vantage, lets have the F1 drivers radioing in for the safety car to slow down.

Should be some race - just watched quali highlights. That’s one tight high speed circuit.

I reckon the safety car will be out a lot.

If Vettel and Stroll hang back they can let the accidents happen in front and then cruise round in GT mode.
