Opposite view here. My 2002 drives great. Wonderful on both up and downshifts. It may not be a double clutch, but it still shifts faster than I can with my manual DBS and it is far smoother on downshifts than I can manage with the DBS.

I read all the negatives before I bought mine, so I was not expecting much when I test drove it. Wow, was I misled by all those reviews. They must have been written by people who had no idea how to get on with a manual trans in the first place. To me, it is a faster manual, and when looked at that way it is supremely satisfying.

Amen! For anyone that can't resist the urge but has doubt, come and have a drive of one. They do not dissapoint!

I used to track Vanquish S prices as always wanted one. I stopped looking at them, didn't realise they've taken a dip in pricing, based on the one in the OP.

I have a 2002.

Has latest gearbox set up. All springs, dampers & bushes have been replaced in the last 10k miles and it drives beautifully.

Doubt one will handle as sportily as a V12 Vantage, but they ride superbly, fulfilling their remit as a GT.

Worn bushes has them wandering all over the place and due to their weight, these can go quite quickly, even just sitting in a garage.

I own 2 007 Vantage and bought a early 2004 Vanquish but with flappy paddle not gear lever. , and been on many B roads at a good rate of knots and really happy with it , wouldnt sell.Vantage is lighter through the curves but doesnt really leave the Vanquish behind. Look at your suspension or tyres, that could be the problem.

I agree with Steve G, I love every moment in my 2002 Vanquish, love the gearbox, love the paddles, LOVE the SOUND!
