I am looking at a Vanquish S cars. Prices for some low milage 2007 cars are around £200k with 2017 & 2018 cars at around £170k. Can someone help me understand why the 2007 cars are so highly priced compared to 2017 / 2018 cars.

Why does a DB5 cost so much more than a DB7?

Why does a 1988 V8 Vantage cost more than a 2008 V8 Vantage?

Ha ha.

Why do people buy new Aston Martins?

Because they cannot afford old ones!

I think, as the market currently is, the only Vanquish S from 2007 approaching £200K would be one of the 50 Ultimate editions, the last ones made.

You can pick up a 2007 Vanquish S for c £100K now with 20K miles.

The 2001 - 2007 Vanquish is approaching classic status and with less then 2600 made are pretty rare. They were also the last hand built Aston from the Newport Pagnell factory, adding to their 'status' .

The chassis tech was transferred to the new 'Gaydon' built cars, so an important model for Aston.
